Library Policies

The library is open each day to all students from 3:00 to 3:30 for book exchange.

Each class has a 35-minute library time each week.

Younger students may sign out 1 book.  Older students may sign out 2 books.  In special circumstances, such as special projects, students may be allowed to sign out extra books with the librarian’s permission.

Lost or damaged books should be replaced with the replacement value noted on the overdue slip, or by $5.

Certain books in the library have mature content (subjects, words, or ideas) and can only be checked out by students in grades 7 and 8, or by younger students if they bring a note from home giving permission with the specific title of the book.

Miss Nash and classroom teachers work together and try to support students to choose books that are appropriate for each student based on their interests and reading level.
